Week 27 | Jan. 16, 2017

My Family and Friends,

"And it came to pass that we did begin to till the earth, and we began to plant seeds; yea, we did put all our seeds into the earth... And it came to pass that they did grow exceedingly; wherefore, we were blessed in abundance" (1 Nephi 18:24). This week has been a very rewarding but extremely exhausting week! We have had an average of 15 lessons a week in the past two weeks! This week we set a goal to double that and teach 30! At first we were worried we wouldn't make it because we were on bikes and only had 6 investigators but we knew if we did everything we could and prayed every day for our goal, God would help us! This week consisted of 16 hours of straight knocking doors! We were so tired but so blessed! We were able to teach 20 new people and five of which are new investigators!

On Tuesday we found so many people and after knocking so many doors we decided to go get some food! We had a little cash to spend so we went and bought a pizza! For some weird reason we also felt like we should go to McDonald's! It made no sense but we went anyway! Well with the left over money we bought some more food! We were about to sit and enjoy our feast when the manager came over and told us we could eat our pizza there! As a result we spent longer than we would have using wifi! Well as we were about to leave a man behind the counter told us to stop and ran over to come talk to us! He wanted our "literature" and made us take down his number and address so we could come see him! He continued to explain that he wants his children baptized! It was truly a miracle! God works in mysterious ways!

Also I don't know if you remember that lady named Amanda many months back, I gave her a blessing and started to cry, as a result she started to investigate! Well she just got Baptized!!!!! Also Sharon Jones, a lady we taught in Bunnell got baptized as well! Well it doesn't stop there either, a lady Elder Larsen taught in his last area got baptized! We were able to attend that baptism and it was the coolest baptism! It was a duel baptism, a Portuguese speaking lady and a Spanish speaking lady! I couldn't understand anything that was said but the spirit was so strong! The church is true!

Some of us sow and others reap but we all have a purpose and play an important piece in God's plan! Think of the role you play: Father, Mother, Daughter, Son, Friend, roommate, etc. You play an important role! God needs you! You can change a life by simply being the best you can be! Serve those around you! Show them Christ like love! Pray for opportunities to lift others! I can testify that as you fulfill your sacred role you will see countless miracles! Joy and gratitude will fill your heart! I am so grateful for my role as a missionary! I love you all so much! Have a wonderful week!

Your seed planting missionary,
Elder Tracy
