Week 25 | Jan. 2, 2017

Hello everyone!!!

Oh how I love my Father in Heaven!  Oh how he's blessed me! This week I have been so very blessed! Our Dear Father gives us exactly what we need when we need it! Unfortunately, I really needed to be down with the flu for three days to learn some really important lessons!

First lesson is that I needed was to improve my prayers! So after being in bed for a good three days and being desperate to get out and do some missionary work, I knelt down and offered the longest, most heart felt, most personal prayer I've ever offered! I basically pled that I would be healthy enough to serve his children in anyway! I prayed for all our investigators, our families, our friends, I told him about my desires and fears, I talked to him as if he were right there! I felt drastically different! I went from being physically drained and exhausted to being energized! I felt the scripture 1 Nephi 7:17 come alive! I felt more motivated to serve and love others! Basically every fear or pain faded and I found joy in what first aggravated me! I want to testify of the power of prayer! God, our loving Father, wants to hear from us! He is waiting for us to cry unto Him and ask for help! Talk to Him! You will find the help that you need!

The second lesson is that I needed was to have more faith! We have been knocking so many doors and have heard so many rejections! Well, we offered a prayer asking that we would have more faith that there are people that are ready to accept the message of the restoration! Literally the next door we met a super sweet lady named Teresea George! We talked with her about her family and she opened up! We taught her the entire restoration and we will go back tomorrow and on Friday! We are super excited! I wonder though how many more people could we find if I had the faith that they are there to be found! What could we accomplish if we had more faith?

I love this gospel! I'm so very grateful to have a loving, merciful, caring Father in Heaven that allows me to have these experiences! He answers our prayers! He loves us and will help us! No matter what you are going through! Good or Bad! Tell Him how you are doing! Seek His guidance! Trust in Him and have the faith that He can help you improve! I love you all so very much!!! Keep the faith!

Your prayerful and faithful missionary,
Elder Tracy
